A Closer Look at Thursday:
Wellbeing & Connection:
First, open your workbook and set up your page. The title can be "Journal". Next, check in with yourself. How are you feeling today? Draw the emoji that matches your mood, then try the breathing exercise to the right. Do this exercise every day, as often as you like-no writing necessary! Notice how you felt before you did the exercise, and how you felt afterwards. Did it help? Now choose one section of the page to complete: Self-Care Tip (write about how you feel after taking a walk), Think About It, Character Trait of the Day, or you can choose to draw a picture of someone being a leader. Please work on adding lots of detail to your reflections. Your responses should be a paragraph with about five sentences. Finally, get to it! 😊 |

Writing:
This book celebrates people's differences, but also how we all have a ton in common. Have you thought about that lately? There's a lot going on in the world. People of Colour are fighting to be treated fairly and with respect. It's important to think about, talk about with our families, and to recognize that we are all unique and special. I believe our differences make life more interesting! There is so much we can learn from one another. Even people who come from the same place and speak the same language can live very different lives—and that’s great!
Think about how boring the world would be if everyone were exactly the same. How would the world be different if we all looked the same, acted the same way and liked the same things? Write about it! Try to add as much detail and explanation as possible. When you're done take a picture of your response and add it to your Portfolio on My Blueprint.
