Happy Wednesday!
A Closer Look at Wednesday:
Wellbeing & Connection:
First, open your workbook and set up your page. The title can be "Journal". Next, check in with yourself. How are you feeling today? Draw the emoji that matches your mood, then try the breathing exercise video. Do the breathing exercise every day, as often as you like-no writing necessary! Notice how you felt before you did the breathing exercise, and how you felt afterwards. Did it help? Write about it if you like. Now choose one section of the page to complete: Self-Care Tip (write about what happens to your mood after taking a few minutes to yourself? Is it good for your mood? Why or why not?), Think About It, Character Trait of the Day, or you can choose to draw a picture of someone being kind. Please work on adding lots of detail to your reflections. Your responses should be a paragraph with about five sentences. Finally, get to it! 😊 |

Wednesday Word Hunt:
Grab a book from home or look one up online. Go on a scavenger hunt in the book and search for words in the text that have the same patterns as your words this week. You can record the words you find in your notebook. For example, if you have words with short a sounds you would look for other words that have the short a sound as well.

Writing:
Reader's Response for our read aloud! First, listen to the reading of Chapter 27, "Mike Teavee is Sent by Television". Then make a prediction. What do you think is going to happen to Mike? Will he ever be the same again? Why or why not? Explain your thinking in detail. Your title could be: "Chapter 27". You could also draw a picture to go along with your thoughts.
When you're done take a picture of your response and add it to your Portfolio on My Blueprint.

Reading:
Wednesdays are all about Buddy Reading! Connect with a classmate or family member and read over the phone/video chat. Had enough tech? Then cozy up and read to a sibling or parent.

We're continuing on with Mathletics! Keep working at your own pace, but aim to take your test Friday, or if you prefer you can wait until the weekend. Our math time is self directed. That means you work at your own pace, but know that next week you'll be getting another Mathletics activity and more math pages.
