Happy Friday!
A Closer Look at Friday:
Wellbeing & Connection:
First, open your workbook and set up your page. The title can be "Journal". Next, check in with yourself. How are you feeling today? Draw the emoji that matches your mood. Now watch the video and do your breathing exercise. How do you feel afterwards? Did your emoji change? Feel free to write about it. Now choose one section of the page to complete: Self-Care Tip (how do you feel after going for a walk?), Think About It, Character Trait of the Day, or you can choose to draw a picture of someone being a leader. Please work on adding lots of detail to your reflections. Your responses should be a paragraph with about five sentences. How'd you do this week? Did these exercises help you feel calm? Check in with yourself and notice what zone you've been in most of the time. If you've been out of the green zone a lot then think about trying a strategy that will help you get back to feeling good. 😊 Here are some things to try (choose one that makes sense to you): drawing, reading, exercising, using a fidget, talking to a friend (or your teacher!), listening to music, drinking some water, counting to ten. |

Spelling-Friday Word search Puzzle: Choose at least ten of your spelling words and use them to create your own word search. Once finished, maybe have a family member try and find your words in the puzzle.
Writing:
Friday is all about being creative and having fun with your writing. Continue with your passion project or start a new one! What have you been doing? Are you writing a book, a journal, making a recipe book, creating a collection of poems, or are you writing music? Do whatever inspires you! We're excited to see what you create!
Below are a couple recipes from Colter's Cookbook. Maybe this weekend you could try out his recipes and let him know what you think! :)

Math:
These last two weeks you've learned four new ways to multiply multi-digit problems. Way to go! Please do the following problems. You may use ANY of the strategies we've learned, but whatever you choose please be sure to show your work in your workbook (or if you prefer you can print out the worksheet using the file underneath the image). When you're finished check your answers with a calculator. Make any corrections necessary. *Go back and re-watch the videos if you forget what to do. You may want to use a multiplication chart to help you. That's ok! I want you to get comfortable with the strategies. |
