Friday, June 19th
Happy Friday! It's hard to believe it, but this is our last day of online learning. Congratulations! It's been a wild year, but you all made it so special. Ms. Gebert and I feel so blessed to have had the chance to get to know each one of you. We wish you nothing but the best this summer and we can't wait to see you all next year! Please enjoy this year-end class slide show!
A Closer Look at Friday:
Wellbeing & Connection:
First, open your workbook and set up your page. The title can be "Journal".
Next, check in with yourself. How are you feeling today? Draw the emoji that matches your mood. Now try doing some Heartbeat Jumps. How do you feel afterwards? Did your emoji change? Feel free to write about it.
Now choose one section of the page to complete: Self-Care Tip (how do you feel after playing a game?), Think About It, Character Trait of the Day, or you can choose to draw a picture of someone being grateful. Please work on adding lots of detail to your reflections. Your responses should be a paragraph with about five sentences.
How'd you do this week? Did these exercises help you feel calm? Check in with yourself and notice what zone you've been in most of the time. If you've been out of the green zone a lot then think about trying a strategy that will help you get back to feeling good. 😊 Here are some things to try (choose one that makes sense to you): drawing, reading, exercising, using a fidget, talking to a friend (or your teacher!), listening to music, drinking some water, counting to ten.

Spelling-Friday Word search Puzzle: Choose at least ten of your spelling words and use them to create your own word search. Once finished, maybe have a family member try and find your words in the puzzle.
Writing:
It's our last Friday! But that doesn't mean you can't keep working on your passion project through the summer. I strongly encourage you to continue writing for fun over your holiday.
Continue with your passion project or start a new one! What have you been doing? Are you writing a book, a journal, making a recipe book, creating a collection of poems, or are you writing music? Do whatever inspires you, and don't ever stop!

Math:
Here's one more game to practice your multiplication facts. Multiplication Kaboom! You can make this game on popsicle sticks, or on strips of cardboard and store it in a jar or cup. Watch the video to the right for all the details. Or if you prefer, you can download the file to your right, print it out, and follow the instructions on how to play. Tip: make this game for subtraction, addition, and division too! How to play:
