Tuesday, May 19th
Happy Tuesday! Are you ready for the week? We hope you had a great long weekend!
A Closer Look at Tuesday:
Questions or just want to connect? Ms. Gebert's here for you every Tuesday! Email to set up a call! [email protected]
Wellbeing & Connection:
First, open your workbook and set up your page. The title can be "Journal". Next, check in with yourself. How are you feeling today? Draw the emoji that matches your mood, then try the breathing exercise video. Do the breathing exercise every day, as often as you like-no writing necessary! Notice how you felt before you did the breathing exercise, and how you felt afterwards. Did it help? Write about it if you like. Now choose one section of the page to complete: Self-Care Tip (write about what happens to your mood after taking a few minutes to yourself? Is it good for your mood? Why or why not?), Think About It, Character Trait of the Day, or you can choose to draw a picture of someone being kind. Please work on adding lots of detail to your reflections. Your responses should be a paragraph with about five sentences. Finally, get to it! 😊 |
Belly breathing can help us calm down when we're angry (see the Elmo video above!), and it can help us to relax when we already feel pretty good (see the video below!).

Use the planner to write down ideas about your mom. You can write them down in your workbook, or on your white board. If you want, you can choose to write about your dad, or another person in your family. Just change the word "Mom" to whoever you choose to write about!
Now use the Planner to write a poem about your person! Use the following sentence starters to help, or create your very own original poem. Once your happy with your poem you could decorate it with some pictures and share it with your family. I bet they'll love it!
