Happy Thursday!
How are you feeling today? Check in with a friend or schedule a call with me! I'd love to hear from you. I hope to see you at our Zoom meeting today! |
A Closer Look at Thursday:
Wellbeing & Connection:
First, open your workbook and set up your page. The title can be "Journal". Next, check in with yourself. How are you feeling today? Draw the emoji that matches your mood, then try the Body Scan with Mrs. Collard. Do this exercise every day, as often as you like-no writing necessary! Notice how you felt before you did the Body Scan, and how you felt afterwards. Did it help? Now choose one section of the page to complete: Self-Care Tip, Think About It, Character Trait of the Day, or you can choose to draw a picture of someone being brave. Finally, get to it! 😊 |

Spelling:
Thursday Rhyming Words:
Choose ten spelling words. Try and think of a different rhyming word for each of your ten spelling words that you chosen. You can record these in your notebook.

After watching the video, it's your turn to write! Explain your thoughts and try to go deep.
Open your workbook and set up your page. The title can be "Monkey Business" or get creative and make your own title!
How do you think this ape got into this situation? What do you notice about it’s eyes, mouth and hand? Do you think the ape is feeling happy, sad, scared, hungry...something else? What does his body language tell us? Have fun with it!
Put your pencil to paper and write away!
After you finish writing do “The Writer’s Mumble”. Use the graph above to help you. First revise, then edit. Go through all the steps of Revise: Add, Remove, Move, Substitute. Then go through all the steps of Edit: Capitalization, Usage, Punctuation, Spelling.
Now that you have a finished copy it's time to publish! Share your writing with a friend or family member and add it to your portfolio in MyBlueprint.
