A Closer Look at Tuesday:
Questions or just want to connect? Ms. Gebert's here for you every Tuesday! Email to set up a call! [email protected]
Wellbeing & Connection:
First, open your workbook and set up your page. The title can be "Journal". Next, check in with yourself. How are you feeling today? Draw the emoji that matches your mood, then try the breathing exercise video. Do this exercise every day, as often as you like-no writing necessary! Notice how you felt before you did the breathing exercise, and how you felt afterwards. Did it help? Write about it if you like. Now choose one section of the page to complete: Self-Care Tip (write about why you think choosing healthy foods is important), Think About It, Character Trait of the Day, or you can choose to draw a picture of someone being responsible. Finally, get to it! 😊 |

Writing:
Open Epic Books and read: The Victorious Voyage of Laura Dekker. It's the third story in "Rise Up: Ordinary Kids with Extraordinary Stories" (I have assigned it), OR read along with me in the video clip below.
After reading watch the next video (below) explaining more about Morse Code. Then use the Morse Code Alphabet to write your very own coded message! Send it to a friend and see if they can decipher (read) the message!
Want to take it a step further? Watch the video on how to use the online Morse Code Translator. Here's the link to the Morse Code Translator. Have fun typing in your own messages and seeing how they sound.

Math:
We're continuing on with Mathletics! Keep working at your own pace, but aim to take your test Friday, or if you prefer you can wait until the weekend. Our math time is self directed. That means you work at your own pace, but know that next week you'll be getting another Mathletics activity and more math pages.
Mrs. Gebert is here for you today, and she'd love to walk you through the problem. Just send her an email requesting a phone call. [email protected]
