Happy Thursday!
How are you feeling today? Check in with a friend or schedule a call with me! I'd love to hear from you. |
A Closer Look at Thursday:
Wellbeing & Connection:
First, open your workbook and set up your page. The title can be "Journal". Next, check in with yourself. How are you feeling today? Draw the emoji that matches your mood, then try the Body Scan with Mrs. Collard. Do this exercise every day, as often as you like-no writing necessary! Notice how you felt before you did the Body Scan, and how you felt afterwards. Did it help? Third, choose one section of the page to complete: Self-Care Tip, Think About It, Character Trait of the Day, or you can choose to draw a picture of someone being brave. Four, get to it! 😊 |

Spelling:
Thursday Rhyming Words:
Choose ten spelling words. Try and think of a different rhyming word for each of your ten spelling words that you chosen. You can record these in your notebook.

Here’s todays writing prompt:
How do you think this cat got into this situation? What do you notice about it’s eyes and mouth? Do you think the cat is feeling happy, sad, scared, hungry...something else? How would you be feeling if you were that cat? Have fun with it!
Put your pencil to paper and write away! After you finish writing do “The Writer’s Mumble”. Do you need to change anything? Check for punctuation, capitals, and spelling. Now share your writing with a friend or family member and add it to your portfolio in MyBlueprint.

Reading:
Is it nice out today? Why not grab a blanket and go find a comfy spot to read in the fresh air. If the weather isn't cooperating then make the best of it and choose a quiet spot in your home to escape into your book.

Math:
We're continuing on with Mathletics! Keep working at your own pace, but aim to take your test Friday, or if you prefer you can wait until the weekend. Our math time is self directed. That means you work at your own pace, but know that next week you'll be getting another Mathletics activity and more math pages.
Here are this week's assignments for, "Intro to Multiplication and Division" (the teacher guide gives an explanation of how to do the activity on Mathletics):

Playful Possibilities:
Make your lunch into a work of art! What "Toast Art" can you create? Use whatever you have in your kitchen (with your parent's permission of course) and be creative. Post a picture on My Blueprint! I can't wait to see!

Below are pictures of my "toast art". What do you think? Surprisingly, Cairo thought it was pretty good. I'm not so sure cheese and bananas should be on the same sandwich!
